Tibetan Freedom Torch relay in New Delhi
New Delhi, July 10, 2008. After travelling, to all the major cities across the globe, the torch arrived in New Delhi on Thursday and received warmly at Jantar Mantar after a six kilometer walk from Samtha Sthal. Torch bearers included National Convener Dr. NK Trikha from the Core Group for Tibetan Cause and other young Tibetans. Key members spoke about the significance of the Tibetan Freedom Torch Relay which stands for hope and aspiration of the Tibetan people for freedom, justice and the commitment of people around the world to help achieve this goal.

 
73rd birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama
July 6 : Tibetans-in-exile gathered at different places like New Delhi, Belgium, Nepal, Dharamsa. Gangtok etc., to mark the occasion of the 73rd birthday of His Holiness and prayed for his long life and good health.
 

Seminar on 1914 Shimla Convention held in New Delhi
New Delhi, July 4 - Commemorating the 94th anniversary of the July 3 Shimla Convention (1914) the ML Sondhi Institute For Asia Pacific Affairs supported by the Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Centre (TPPRC) organized a day long seminar on the Agreement and its subsequent consequences at the India International Centre in New Delhi.

Third Tibetan Film Festival In Delhi
The vast desolate landscape of Tibet with its rugged snow-lined peaks, majestic valleys, howling winds, Buddhist monasteries and a colourful indigenous culture woven around the gospel of Siddhartha will reveal itself at a festival of Tibetan movies July 5-9 in the capital's India International Centre (IIC).

TYC launches indefinite hunger strike without food and water in New Delhi
This time six Tibetans have volunteered to go on without food and water until China gives in to their demands. Shitser Nyima, 37 from Sera Je, Tehor Khangtsen, Sonam Dakpa (Sodak), 31 and Tenpa Darge, 25 are from Sera Je, Jhadrel Khangtsen in South India. Tsering, 23 hails from Drepung Loseling in Mungod, Jangchup Sangpo, 28 is from Mcloed Ganj, Dharamsala and Wangdue Phuntsok, 31 is from Norbulingka in Dharamsala.
