We are happy to inform you that its been more then Four years since we launched
Bod Gyalo, the only Tibetan monthly video news and views magazine in exile. At this moment we circulate about 1000 DVD a month, including 800 regular subscribers. During our first experimental year, we have received many advices, suggestions and appreciation from fellow Tibetans in India and Nepal and overseas, and even His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Prof. Samdong Rinpoche regularly receive a copy and have expressed about its usefulness.

We take this opportunity to thank all our subscribers for their support. We are now gearing up to improving further. Sumico, a self-sustaining Tibetan company managed by young Tibetans with no assistance and donation from any organization, produces Bod Gyalo. At present we have a total strength of 15 young Tibetans including, five in Delhi Headquarter and reporters in Bylakuppee, Dharamsala, Katmandu, Sikkim, Dehradun, Delhi, Swiss, Spain, Italy, France, Canada, Belgium and New York.

Our aims are:

To effectively play the role of a responsible media by becoming a bridge between the exile Government and the people.

To communicate news views and discusses issues concerning our community.

To promote better sense of democracy among Tibetans as advised by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

To encourage Entrepreneurship among young Tibetans.

With the view to produce independent bold news and views, we have not sought any financial assistance from any body. We are confident that your support, by subscribing to it will, not only motivate us but will help set example for creating self-employment avenues in the exile community. Click here to subscribe.
